About Us

Women’s & Children’s Center for Mental Wellness welcomes you to our clinic. Our clinic works closely together in order to provide you optimal psychiatric medical treatment.  Angela Harrison is our Office Supervisor and Business Manager.  She will be able to assist you in all matters involving the clinic and solve any billing problems that may arise. Sara Smith is our Front Office Manager and assists in all matters involving  intake assessments, referrals, appointment coordination, and patient communications.  

 

Information on our medical professionals are listed below.  

 

Jasjit (Rimi) Singh, MD  is board certified in General Psychiatry.  She has special interests in women issues including depression, anxiety, and eating disorders; as well as, mood disorders during pregnancy and postpartum. She also accepts male patients on a limited basis. She is very active in the community and presents regularly at meetings to help educate others. Dr. Singh also holds a clinical assistant professor appointment at LSUHSC-Shreveport.   Dr. Singh is from  Monroe, LA and called it her home, until moving to Shreveport for residency in 2002. 

 

 

Manish Saran, MD is a fellowship trained Child and Adolescent psychiatrist providing care for illnesses such as complicated ADHD, anxiety disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, and mood disorders from 0 to 18 years of age, or older if enrolled in college or graduate school. He has published several academic articles and has obtained training in autism treatment and diagnosis. Dr. Saran also serves as medical director of the child unit at Brentwood Hospital in Shreveport where he admits and treats inpatients.  Dr. Saran is from the Jersey area but has called Shreveport his home for many years.     

 

 

Theresa Stewart, APRN,PMHCNS, BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist with over twenty years of experience. She graduated from Northwestern State University with her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing and went on to specializing in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health. She is originally from south Louisiana and has worked in a variety of clinical settings both private and academic before joining WCCMW.   She treats men, women and adolescents and has a special interest in mood and anxiety disorders.  

 

 

 

Megan Colvin, PA-C is a native of Benton, Louisiana. She graduated from Centenary College with a Bachelor degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at LSUHSC-Shreveport and is board certified. Megan sees men, women, and adolescents of all ages.  She has a special interest in treating mood disorders and schizophrenia.
